CEPIC 2026 Agenda
The theme of CEPIC 2026 is AI: Challenge as Opportunity. Across 15+ conferences and workshops, we’ll explore how AI is reshaping visual content through productivity tools, search, metadata, translation, clean-up and more, while examining its technical, legal, ethical, and commercial implications.

CEPIC 2026: Agenda
Organised by: Paul Seheult. Kickstart your day with high-energy networking! After last year’s incredible success, Speed Dating returns to CEPIC 2026, giving you the perfect chance to introduce yourself and your business through quick, structured conversations. Open to all CEPIC 2026 attendees. To register, contact p.seheult@cepic.org.

Moderated by Sarah Lefebvre. This session moves beyond hype and fear to explore how the industry can actively shape responsible, sustainable AI adoption at a scale and level of consistency not possible through manual processes alone.
Moderated by: Valérie Théveniaud-Violette. Copyright infringement has long been an existential problem for authors and distributors. This panel examines whether traditional concepts of image theft are still relevant in the age of generative AI, whether tools for tracking infringements benefit from the contribution of AI, and whether these tools could help authors assert their rights by identifying training uses.

This session will look at how cultural heritage assets can be digitised and reused responsibly, using the JPEG Trust ISO/IEC standards framework as a practical lens for exploring how authenticity, trust and long-term reusability can be safeguarded.
PUBLIC CONFERENCE. Moderated by Sylvie Fodor. A keynote on EU regulations shaping media, creative industries, and AI, covering legislative updates, compliance, and their impact on content production, licensing, and AI workflows.
PUBLIC CONFERENCE: Moderated by Helen Gudgeon. A discussion on media–platform dynamics, the growing landscape of misinformation, and emerging solutions such as media literacy, fact-checking frameworks, standards, and the Journalism Trust Initiative.
PUBLIC CONFERENCE: Introduction from Paul Seheult. Drawing on Roger-Viollet’s historical collections, this session examines media and information literacy through image verification, authenticity, copyright, and how visual narratives influence our understanding of images.
PUBLIC CONFERENCE: Moderated by: Paul Melcher. Tackling the next big challenge in visual news media - proving reality. Why we need to flip the problem on it's head and certify real content rather than try and detect the fakes
