Peter Kropsch, born in 1965 in Wels (Austria), has been Chairman of the dpa Executive Board since 2017. The business journalist previously worked for the Austrian news agency APA for 20 years – initially in product management and marketing and from 2006 onwards in senior management. From 2009 to 2016, Peter Kropsch was CEO of APA. From 2012 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2021, he was President of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA).
