We are pleased to share the news from Mary Evans Picture Library announcing the appointment of Matt Hamer as their new Managing Director. Matt steps into the role following the retirement of Paul Brown, a long-standing member of the CEPIC community and committee member from 1995 to 2009. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Paul for his many years of dedication to the industry and wish him all the best for the future. Mary Evans Picture Library, the UK's leading historical picture source, is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Managing Director, Matt Hamer. Matt takes over from Paul Brown, who is retiring after 18 years at Mary Evans and 44 years in the industry.
Many of you will have come across Matt at Media Storehouse, where for more than 20 years he's been providing image owners with an outsourced print and merchandise service for sales to the general public. Matt will continue to run Media Storehouse alongside his new role at Mary Evans.
Paul said, "Having taken the tough decision to stand down, I am pleased to leave Mary Evans in such safe hands. Matt knows both the industry, and our business, very well. Sixty years is a long time for any family-owned business to survive, but I am confident that with Matt at the helm, Mary Evans Picture Library will be around to celebrate many more milestones in the decades ahead."
Matt said "I'm honoured to be given the opportunity to be the new Managing Director of Mary Evans. Having worked with the team for nearly two decades it will be exciting to get further involved, learn more and explore new opportunities."
