CEPIC Joins IFRRO, Strengthening International Cooperation on Copyright and Licensing

CEPIC is pleased to announce that it has officially become a member of the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations (IFRRO), marking an important step in strengthening international cooperation on copyright, licensing and the protection of creative works.

‍

CEPIC's application for membership was formally approved by the IFRRO Board during its meeting on 26 October 2026 in Bogotá, Colombia. CEPIC joins IFRRO as a Creator or Publisher Association Member, becoming part of an international community of organisations working to support creators, publishers and rights holders.

‍

As the global hub for visual media licensing and copyright advocacy, CEPIC represents the interests of picture agencies, image libraries and visual content professionals worldwide.

‍

Joining IFRRO provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships with organisations representing other creative sectors, exchange expertise and contribute to international discussions surrounding copyright, licensing and the responsible use of protected content.

‍

At a time when technological developments, particularly artificial intelligence, are raising important questions about the use, ownership and licensing of creative works, cooperation between organisations representing rights holders is increasingly valuable.

‍

Following the Board's decision, IFRRO Chief Executive and Secretary General Anita Huss-Ekerhult formally welcomed CEPIC on behalf of IFRRO President Samantha Holman and the Board.

‍

In her letter, she congratulated CEPIC on its successful application and expressed IFRRO's commitment to supporting the association's work and facilitating its participation within the international IFRRO community.

‍

CEPIC looks forward to building relationships with fellow IFRRO members, sharing knowledge and contributing to discussions on the future of copyright and licensing.

‍

This new membership represents another opportunity for CEPIC to strengthen its international connections and work alongside organisations that share its commitment to protecting creative content and supporting sustainable licensing practices.

‍

CEPIC looks forward to participating in the IFRRO community and exploring opportunities for cooperation that benefit the wider visual media industry.
