Save the date: CEPIC 2027 will take place from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 May 2027, bringing the international visual media community together for three days of networking, meetings, discussion and debate, before rounding off the week with our Annual Industry Party on Wednesday evening.
And yes, for those who joined us in Valencia this year, you read that correctly: in 2027, we're returning to Juan-les-Pins.
We know some of you have already asked why, so we wanted to share a little of the thinking behind the decision.
CEPIC is a small team, supported by a dedicated Board whose members balance their work with CEPIC alongside many other professional responsibilities. Yet somehow, year after year, we bring together our industry from across the world for what remains the highlight of the CEPIC calendar.
A huge amount of work goes into making those three days happen. Taking CEPIC to a new city and venue is exciting, and sometimes a change is exactly what we need. But it also brings a long list of new moving parts: a new venue, new teams, new technical arrangements, new suppliers, new caterers and all the practical details that need to be learned and coordinated from the ground up.
Valencia gave us an opportunity to do things differently, and we learned a lot from it. The more informal seating and meeting spaces around the reception area proved popular, giving delegates another way to meet and talk outside the traditional table area. The sit-down lunch format, including a wider choice of healthier options, was another change that received positive feedback. And yes, we know catering has generated quite a few conversations at previous CEPIC events!
Those are exactly the kinds of lessons we want to take forward.
Returning to Juan-les-Pins means returning to a venue and a team we already know well. Our event team knows CEPIC, our technical and audiovisual teams understand what we need, and we have built a strong relationship with the city over previous years.
That familiarity gives us something incredibly valuable: more room to focus on the event itself.
Rather than rebuilding all of those foundations, we can spend more of our time looking at how CEPIC can evolve: how we balance panels and workshops with the networking that sits at the heart of the event, how we create better spaces for conversations and meetings, and what new activities and opportunities we can bring to delegates in 2027. We're already working on those ideas.
Our 2027 programme will take place under the theme: Content in the Age of AI: Editorial, Creative, Heritage, New Rules for Visual Content
AI continues to transform every corner of the visual media landscape, but its impact isn't the same everywhere. In 2027, we want to broaden the conversation across editorial, creative and heritage content, exploring the changing rules, responsibilities, business models and opportunities emerging across our industry.
Alongside the conference programme, there will of course be plenty of time for what CEPIC has always done best: bringing people together. Meetings, networking, Speed Dating, pitch presentations and opportunities to make new connections will remain at the heart of the three days.
We'll be sharing much more about the programme, speakers, registration and plans for Juan-les-Pins over the coming months. For now, save the dates: 10 - 12 May 2027.
Stay tuned for more! We can't wait to welcome you back.
