We are excited to announce that the full programme for BAPLA FOCUS 2025 is now live! This year’s line-up features a roster of expert speakers and thought-provoking topics designed to inspire, inform and engage everyone involved in the image licensing and photography industry.
BAPLA will welcome Isabelle Doran, Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Photographers (AOP), as their keynote speaker. Isabelle will deliver a compelling address on 'Copyright, Control & the Creator’s Voice: Safeguarding Image Rights in the Age of AI.' As a passionate advocate for the photography and creative industries, Isabelle regularly engages with key stakeholders, including government bodies like the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), on copyright legislation and enforcement. She has shared her expertise at prestigious events such as CEPIC 2025, Westminster Media Forum and the British Copyright Council (BCC). Isabelle also serves as a board director for the BCC and The Creators’ Rights Alliance, and has held roles including Chair of PICSEL and the BAPLA Board.
This year’s programme promises a rich mix of insightful panels, innovative discussions and practical sessions covering the latest industry trends, from generative AI and content licensing to the evolving challenges of image rights. They will also be holding a special segment to acknowledge and recognise outstanding contributions within our industry, a moment you won’t want to miss. Plus, we are celebrating BAPLA’s 50th Anniversary with an exclusive after-hours party at the iconic Churchill War Rooms. Attendees will enjoy private access to this historic venue, which normally charges £33 per person for entry. It’s the perfect setting for drinks, canapés and networking.
