After Valencia last week, we have now gone for a site inspection in Istanbul, from 06 August to 08 August. As a door to Asia, we think it may be an excellent venue for a CEPIC Congress.

Divided by the Bosphorus, Istanbul builds a bridge between two continents : Europe and Asia. Istanbul is both the nearest Asian city to Europe and the nearest European city to Asia. It is a huge, vibrant, metropolis of 13 million people connecting continents, cultures and religions. It is also the greatest business and cultural center of the region. It in its long history, Istanbul served as the capital city of the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. Many historic sites of Istanbul are listed as UNESCO World Heritage.
