Image Source announces new Director of Strategy
Image Source, the world’s leading producer of premium royalty free stock imagery, motion and Cross-Media content, announces the immediate appointment of Lewis Blackwell as Director of Strategy.
Lewis brings with him a wealth of experience from the film and photography industries, as well as magazine and book publishing. A former executive board member of Getty Images, Lewis led brand and product development, advised on acquisitions and also developed the film side of the business during his ten year tenure at Getty.
Most recently he has acted as adviser to private equity investors, non-profits and other innovative and entrepreneurial businesses and his career has spanned both customer and producer, having created award-winning new media communications, celebrated books and prestigious exhibitions, as well as being the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Creative Review magazine for many years. His recently published Photowisdom was one of PDN’s books of the year as well as being recommended by The Guardian, and his Life & Love of Trees was a bestseller in the United States after acclaim from Ellen DeGeneres.
Christina Vaughan, Image Source Founder and Chief Executive Officer comments "Image Source takes great pride in its position at the premium end of the market so it makes sense for us to be working with one of the leading creative minds in our industry. Lewis is someone who understands the power of a compelling and engaging brand and we are pleased to have him join us on the Image Source adventure."
Lewis will be working from the London Headquarters of Image Source, based in Soho. He says of his new position "I am excited to be getting involved at this stage of the company’s development. Image Source has a great opportunity to surprise and delight its customers and artists in new ways and I will be dedicating myself to make that happen."
