ISALA, Italian for the welcoming room, is the name of CEPIC'S new Image Supplier And Licensor Agreement, produced by English lawyer Nicola Solomon of Finers Stephens Innocent who has
many years' experience of drafting agreements for and advising image suppliers and distributors, working closely with CEPIC committee member Paul Brown whose experience with many suppliers and distributors whilst at Rex gave practical insight into what was required.

ISALA is based on English law in the first instance but is written in such a way as to be a template which is easily adaptable to the laws of different countries and to news, stock and heritage, RM and RF. It is written entirely with a view to the future of the industry and does not deal with analogue images. Nicola Solomon has written a useful users' guide to the points which will need special attention in individual cases.
