PAINTERS TO PAPARAZZI
BRIEFING : PASSPORT TO ITALY
Italy is the land of the image. It invented the image. The statue of David, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the canals and bridges of Venice, the Fountains of Rome, the Primavera, the donkeys wearing straw hats, the snapshots from passing Vespas. But Italians are hungry to see images of the rest of the world so their short deadline colour presses need to be fed with our images. It is a vibrant, competitive press with magazines, coffee table books and encyclopaedias printing and publishing in many languages. To feed this appetite there are many Italian agencies attending this Congress and listed on The Passport to Italy given to everybody at the plenary session.
