Lietzenburger-Strasse 91In the fast-paced stock photography market, excellent keywording is a serious competitive advantage. As more and more companies begin to understand the importance of good keywording, the emerging role of conceptual keywording is becoming the new key driver in making images discoverable. This seminar will consider different perspectives that affect how creative concepts actually drive your collection. We will examine who is determining what to shoot and why, who is doing the keywording, and who is ultimately searching for the images. The panel will include Jennifer Hurshell (Gogo Images), Kirsti O'Sullivan (Keywording.com), Randy Taylor (StockPhotoFinder.com) and Margherita Guerra (Alinari).
The seminar will be divided into two parts. In the first half, each of the panelists will offer their unique perspective about the challenges of conceptual keywording. In the second half, the audience and panel will join together as one large ‘creative group’ to view and discuss images with conceptual content. The discussion should be lively, as everyone contributes ideas about the variety of creative concepts that may apply to each image. Leveraging the broad international and cultural backgrounds of CEPIC’s audience members, this seminar will provide a truly global focus to this often challenging task. Our goal is to stimulate your imagination and take you beyond limited literal descriptions into the highly creative world of concepts—for even the most “common” images.
