CEPIC have secured an exclusive private trip to the Unesco World Heritage listed Hagia Sofia followed by refreshments at the exclusive Turing Club.

Hagia Sofia is the jewel of Byzantine architecture in its time. Hagia Sofia was rebuilt in its present form between 532 and 537 and is one of the greatest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture, rich with mosaics and marble pillars. Converted to a mosque under the Ottoman era by Sultan Mehmet – it remains a wonderful example of Istanbul’s rich history and culture.

A visit to Hagia Sofia was likely to be on everyone’s must do sights to see before they left Istanbul. A private tour was one of the undoubted highlights of the CEPIC Congress. For more information on Hagia Sofia, follow this link: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/356
