pho[to-be]rlin invites internationally renowned photo-journalists to held open lectures and lead a 3- to 4-days workshop in Berlin, where participants can benefit the master photographer’s valuable experience in the field and industry to produce their own reportage on an issue relating to Berlin.
The output of the workshops will contribute to an on-going contemporary documentary on the city and its stories, showing Berlin from the perspective of different photographers and protagonists.
THE WORKSHOPS
The Master Photographer will guide and supervise 10 photographers during a tight schedule that combines both theoretical lectures and shooting assignments, offering them day-by-day feedback through the editing and selection process, offering the chance to be shortlisted for the Final Summer Exhibition in Berlin.

... and leads the way in the Smartphone Photograph Revolution
International stock photography agency Alamy has announced that it will now accept photographs for its Live News service from mobile (cell) phone cameras and compact cameras.
The ever increasing demand for instant and breaking news images and the huge improvement in the quality of phone and compact camera photographs has prompted Alamy to make this move. These images will still be subject to the same quality rules Alamy requires for News, Sport and Entertainment images taken with a DSLR camera but the blanket ban on certain camera types will be removed.

ByICOMPStatement on “Deeply Disappointing” FTC Google Decision Almunia issues strongest warning yet to Google. Google has resolved the US Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) 20 month antitrust probe by “voluntarily” agreeing to implement certain changes to the way it conducts its search business.

Responding to the news, the Founder and CEO of ICOMP Member One News Page, Marc Pinter-Krainer commented:
