I left to devote all my energy to keeping my company (www.agefotostock.com ) abreast with the changes that many felt coming. I wasn’t wrong; our industry became a rollercoaster. We saw the death of the paper catalogues detonate the success of Royalty Free licensing. We observed the emergence of big corporations and their unstoppable hunger to grow by acquisitions, no matter the price. We witnessed the short-lived dotcoms that left behind a few successes and a mountain of dead dreams. Concluding this decade, fuelled by worldwide recession, we see the evident crisis of all...

ByKaren SahoyLast year CEPIC offered for the first time Trade Stands to the congress and it proved to be extremely successful with very positive feedback from the trade stand holders. Trade Stands are for technology providers - it is an area specifically designed to promote your products.
This year, we are only offering 11 stands. Once again it will be in a high traffic area close to the registration desk. Everyone will pass these stands on their way to the table area and business rooms. The trade stands are set up in the very heart of the congress.

Germany is the first publishing market in Europe. It is the home of the largest publishers in the world such as Bertelsmann, Gruner & Jahr or Springer. It has a high level of professionalism. A number of practices may affect not only Germany but contaminate other countries.
At popular demand and for the first time, CEPIC was proposing a workshop in a language other than English. German has been selected as the second most represented language group amongst CEPIC's delegates.
This seminar was of interest not only to established German picture agencies but also to any picture provider interested in coming into the German market. The presentations were held in German.
