Digital Files : Are Standards affecting Profits ? |
 |
Digital files are now common currency but are photographers, picture
libraries and publishers up to speed with the quality controls and standards
needed for print output? Discussions with publishers, picture libraries and
pre-press suggest that many suppliers and users of images are unaware of the
criteria for acceptable quality in digital files.
Time and money is lost across the industry as a result. This seminar from
the Image Network looks at the issues more closely.

The KEY To Sales Is
Not Pictures…It’s WORDS!
In the 21st
century, art directors do their own online image searches by entering
“keywords” to describe the images they seek. If you don’t have the “right”
keywords attached to your images, they’ll never be seen and your pictures
won’t sell. In this interactive session a panel of international keywording
experts will discuss why keywords are the Achilles heel of stock sales, look
at how some picture sellers approach this task, examine examples of “good”
and “bad” keywording, and consider why problems arise when you try to
convert keywords from one language to another. Also on the agenda: how a
well thought out keyword list can actually stimulate your production of new
stock imagery. This session is a MUST for anyone who hopes to sell stock
images in the digital era!
Panel includes
Klaus PLAUMANN / BVPA (Germany) and Alfonso GUTIERREZ /
AGE Fotostock (Spain)
