Joao Ferreira is the vice president of Motor Press, Portuguese magazine publishing. Since 2003 he is the General Manager of the company All Media Portugal. Since 1975, extensive experience in newspaper and magazine publishing.

Rolf HEINZ (D) gives his view on global magazine publishing.
Rolf Heinz started his professional career in 1995 at Heinrich Bauer Verlag. In 1997 he joined the German special interest publisher Jahreszeiten Verlag as Advertising Sales Manager for decorating magazines. In 2000 he joined Gruner+Jahr as International Project Manager in Paris. Rolf is now world-wide publishing director at Gruner + Jahr, based in Paris.

John Birkenshaw is the Manager for the Pre-press and Print Technology Group at Pira International. John undertakes strategic, business & technical consultancy on text processing, image manipulation, page assembly, Management Information systems and new printing technologies including non-impact and electronic processes, in printing, publishing and corporate publishing environments. He has been involved in a number of strategic studies for the printing and publishing industries such as Pira’s 10 year technology forecast.

Winston FLETCHER (UK) gives us a perspective from the Advertising market.
Winston Fletcher is currently Chairman of the Advertising Standards Board of Finance and former chairman of the Advertising Research Centre and was President of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
He has been Chairman of Fletcher Shelton Delaney, Delaney Fletcher Bozell
and Ted Bates (UK) Group. He is on numerous boards and committees including Barnardos, The Barbican and The Open College of The Arts, as well as being a Director of Hemscott PLC and of the ad agency DLKW.  He writes regularly for the Times,  Guardian and Financial Times. He broadcasts regularly and has published 11 books.
